CRITICAL INFORMATION regarding IPKII PVA cards

Here is some information regarding newer PVA cards for the IPKII are Lot#G. These cards come pre-loaded from the NEC Warehouse with Service Pack SP01Y.

DO NOT attempt to downgrade these cards to a Service Pack below this level.

Message Waiting confusion?

One common problem I encounter is the ability for end users to activate the message waiting lamp at other extensions and in turn causes confusion within the office. End users often activate this accidentally. The result is people thinking they have voice mail messages not knowing that the blinking light is essentially a ‘callback’ reminder from another user. Here’s a tip on how to minimize or eliminate this problem… Firstly, here is how the function works:

Here are 10 things that I have found to be helpful…

Have your client supply a list of employees, titles, published extensions, etc. so you will have the resources to complete your project on time rather than after the move/install.

Make sure you have enough time to burn in a new system, plan your ‘resource and destination’ list, and address any issues prior to the cut.
