NEC IPKII skips a beat…Call forwarding all calls

OK, folks once again I seemed to have stumbled upon a limitation and have been awaiting resolution from my techy guys for about 3 weeks now.

First, let’s introduce you to the basic idea which I found what could be and I feel most likely is a bug. For the record, the current stable release for the IPKII is 1.62 (unless you purchase the 2.+ version for enhanced networking features). **this has not been tested on 2.+ versions**

Situation: Mary is leaving the office for a week of seminars and she wants to have Kathy take her calls when possible. Mary doesn’t want …

NeaxMail/EliteMail update – Changing the web port address

Did you know that NEC’s latest voice mail platforms like the IM16-LX for the 2000 IPS or the EliteMail LX for the IPKII run on a Red Hat version of Linux?

Trouble Summary:

In the past NEC instructed techs to install the voicemail card while the cabinet was off-line. However, now the only way to get the vmp, vms, fms, cms, or eCTI LX Lite to come online is by inserting the card with the ‘make busy’ switch down, and the KSU powered up and completely
functional. Then after the cabinet recognizes the card you can power up the voicemail by moving the make …

Trouble Summary:
When a site of only 20 to 30 stations utilizes the Directory Dial Feature they can sometimes scroll through up to 200+ extensions before finding the station they are looking for. If the station/virtual is removed from CM 11-02/11-04 the station number still appears in the directory dialing with questions marks in the name field.
