Field Report – Choppy Handsfree

Trouble Summary:
When a user initiates an handsfree call, the voice is extremely choppy to the point that it is hard to have a conversation.

Trouble Symptom:
Default a CPUII with 1.52 software and an ESIB(8) in S1. Connect a MLT to port 001 and 002. Make a call from extension 102 to extension 101. Without pressing the speaker key or picking up the handset at extension 101, attempt to converse with extension 102. Notice you will have choppy voice. Now, at extension 101 press the SPEAKER key and notice that you do not have choppy voice anymore.

    Modification Treatment:

  • CPU software 1.60A/2.10A will resolve this issue.
